Our Story
Death Touch has always had a clear vision: furious TCG gameplay fused with rich characters in a deep, dark Deadfellaz universe, drawing on the energy of League of Legends, Tekkonkinkreet, Dorohedoro, Ghost in the Shell, and Scott Pilgrim.
The road here has been unconventional. An animated movie tying into the game (then codenamed RIP TCG), major partners that turned their backs on crypto, and plenty of other detours along the way. What we've come out the other side with is something better: years of incredible character development, world-building, and lore, and absolute clarity on what Death Touch needs to be.
We partnered with SKALE, an EVM-compatible multichain network that eliminates gas fees for players, ideal for on-chain gameplay without friction. SKALE remains core to Death Touch's on-chain state heading into Beta.
We then brought everything in-house, building a tight team of four with Psych leading as creative director and now increasingly stepping into the role of lead developer. Since minting 4,000 card vaults in 2023 and 800 alpha edition animated cards in 2025, we haven't for a moment taken our eyes off the goal of shipping our dream game.
Death Touch at its core is now a fast, sharp, challenging digital TCG built to house immutable on-chain assets as they get locked during the alpha seasons, reimagining what hanging out in a friendly local game store can look like on-chain. It's positioned to ride the booming digital TCG wave, combining web-based accessibility with the collectible thrill and secondary-market liquidity of physical cards and NFTs.
So here we are: lean, in alpha, and shipping updates fast. We've been majority self-funded the whole way and have always reserved mints for the right moments. This is one of them.
